“Do you think I should call?” The younger girl’s voice tilts with sheer desperation as she peers up to look at Jennie. Fingers grasp tightly against her phone case, palms a little shaken and sweaty. Initially, Jinny thought it was just a headache— typical, especially after long days of training and usually easily treated with a good night sleep. Though what she fears as come and that isn’t the case this time around. Eyes heavily weighing her down as she tosses a glance to her phone, she admitted, “But missing a day of training also means I’d miss out on alot and have more to catch up to.” If there’s a will, there’s a way— and she figures she really should just bare it for a while. Unless she really can’t, then a small time out wouldn’t hurt. “I think I can make it today. No, I’ll make it today. I just need to take a quick bath, drink medicine.”
“Heol.” Her initial response. “I can’t believe you passed up on the opportunity to say Ghostbusters.” She says it with a dry tone, convincing enough to assume she was being serious especially with how her eyes were narrowed, stare filled with dismay and expressions painted with feigned disappointment. Only because she was expecting her bursting out with the theme song but she can’t blame it on anything else other than how her brain is wired. “Just kidding.” She had to follow up just in case. The younger was deep into her worries, evident within her features. That was just part her trying to ease up the younger’s tensed nerves. If there’s anything to make the ailing worse than working herself out, it’s the stress so she’s doing the most she can.
Jennie understood it. She’d been asked to call off out of her accord yet to no avail. And it’s almost funny how much of herself she saw in her. How stubborn— how determined, rather best describes it. Admiring, she’ll admit. But it was better off that way, take it from someone who’s been in the predicament for countless times. A forefinger’s hovered over her lips that pressed down together. “No, no. If you push yourself you’ll only get worse and then miss more days. We wouldn’t want that, right?” With a calm tone, she attempts to persuade. She smiles softly, her fingers fluidly tucking stray strands of Jinny’s hair over her ear and out of her face. “Just rest for today, you’ll be filled in on what you missed. I’m sure you’ll catch up easy. You always do.”
the expression on jinny’s face is indescribable, stuck, if she has to pick a word for it. until she ends up laughing...
