“You say this and yet…” her voice fades, averting her gaze from his dour ones. Him and Jennie had many things alike which was the very reason the female had unknowingly taken a liking for the male. She was very fond of him despite his tendencies of shunning, much like the very occurrence. This exactly was one of those similarities and she couldn’t deny she’d see herself in him sometimes, or often rather.
“What do you call me your mommy for?” Over the top chortle-fest ensues, stopping with a snort to wrap up the exaggerated hysterical act. If he could pick on her, it wouldn’t be so bad to occasionally do it back, would it? That’s her reasoning. Perfectly excusable, she thinks. “Please, Jiyoung.” A hand is raised, hovering in front of his face as her head shifts opposite to his line of sight with a slight roll of her eyes. “You’re funny.” Sarcasm intended. She hadn’t been this sassy in a while but there were moments Jiyoung asked for it.
She blames it on stress, on pressure. There’s plenty on her shoulder these days. “It’s not like I’m actually babysitting you…” It’s said with a bit of reluctance. “I mean, you’d have to pay me if that was the case. I don’t have a lot of time in my hands. I have other things to take care of, right?” This time, laced with bitterness. She didn’t like holding grudges and she says this out of jest, for the most part. She just couldn’t shake off the memory of him saying so for some reason.
