In an attempt to surprise her friend, she crept from her behind and in her hand, a fairly large paper bag. Admittedly, it was difficult to startle her without making any noise but thankfully, the other her earphones on while seemingly reading something. 

With a swift movement, Sueji’s pair of arms find their way looped around Jennie’s neck, embracing the female from behind with a fairly huge grin plastered on her face. And in a loud voice, she exclaims: 

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIE!” 

In a very rowdy manner did Sueji sway her friend from side to side, purposely ‘harassing’ the birthday girl before pulling away, only so she could present her gift to her.  

“Open it!!!! Hurry up. I hope you’ll like it. I got it for the two of us… Pick whichever you fancy and I’ll take the other one.” 

Hopefully, upon fishing out what was inside the box, the female would see the little note she had written out for her.

Forget that it was really late but when Sueji calls, she’ll be running to her. The quietness was making her anxious so she decides to calm her nerves with music. Earphones on then a pair of arms snakes around her, making her flinch. Regardless of the volume in her ears, her loud greeting transcends. “Oh my god…” she mutters, a shy smile forming on her features. 

She opens the box hurriedly as the older says. “Okay, okay.” she laughs, still recollecting herself from the astonishment yet she’s excited. It was obvious on her unusual cheery expression. She rubs at her chin at the sight of the shirts then points at the first one that reads ‘I will never’ despite the inclination on the other one that had ‘sink’ on it; it’s because she couldn’t help but think it says stink instead. “This one.” A genuine smile (that included her eyes) was flashed at Sueji. “You’re so creative. Thank you…”

But before it all ends with the picking, she notices a note fall off the box when she messily opened it. She scrunches her nose, though in an endearing way. “All this sap,” she jokes, a pucker of the lips nears the other’s face. “I love you too, unnie. I’ve been legal to drink since 2 years ago but now I’m legal to get married. You know the deal.” she teases further, eyebrows raising suggestively. nuzzling her face into her neck.
