Now his arms move to cross across his chest. She’s questioning him as if he’s made up her mind as to his position when he had none at all. He’s impressed, she’s like a mini detective and the wheels turning in her mind are quite a contrast to the words pouring from her lips. She’s good cop and bad cop all at once. She handles it well and if he had been a part of this, which he isn’t, it would’ve been even more amusing. “You’re questioning me like I have something to do with this lil miss Jennie. I can call you Jennie right?” But there’s a smile on his face because he’s not the type to scold, or play superior. Wasn’t long when he was in her shoes, nor was it long when he was in the place she’s put herself by deduction only.
alright it’s fun. he won’t deny it.
“One, I’m not opening that because you wanna gamble with a warning.” That’s the last thing he’s going to do and his hand only follows her own. “Two, you didn’t tell me who told you and if the same person told us I think it best we not open it, I mean don’t you know what could be in there. Hell, Deuk could pop out with confetti, or worse, cake could pop out and smash you in the face. You don’t honestly think I’m taking the chance? And what if you’re involved— and you’re ready to record it smashing me in the face?” His expression moves to match her own but he’s inched closer only to see if she’s ready to move her own hand from imminent doom.
“They told me, I’m gonna regret it if I do. Not too many forms of regret I’d wanna tango with.” Even if he wanted to dance with a little danger.
It was funny just how skeptic he was that Jennie started to have a spur of the moment crisis over her personality because she thought she was the worst with how much she played safe, planning most things ahead and dissecting every action. Was it worth it? Was it right or wrong? What would be the result? But being a complex individual like her, she still had a lot of impulsive thoughts that got her intro trouble, and generally many more contradictions about her. It was hard being a careless child and a mature lady at the same time. She doesn’t like being reckless, one best believe. It never ends well.
“Yeah, of course. What else would you call me by? Dongsaeng is so general it could be anyone.” And she says this as a foreigner. “But hey, I’m just being cautious like you are. I mean, you gave me a warning just a second ago. I am simply following through.” she says with a confident nod and a wide beam but then it fades into a little frownie face once he started listing down theories, all of which seemed plausible. Her hands retract and she keeps it behind her. She bites back a laughter, though, when the mention about recording his misfortune came. It would have been a fun thing to conduct and witness, it’s hard to deny.
“Well, it was Seungri oppa.” And just then, an epiphany hits her. “You know what, you’re right…” she says but regret still fills her. “I guess we’ll never know what’s in it.” She says with a bat of her lash as her line of sight falls back on the taller other, as if modestly persuading him and mentally urging him to take the chance. Telepathy and all.
“Dongsaeng’s when you don’t wanna jump into what you don’t know.” But honestly to him the word might hold a little more...
